I have started a women's bible study at my house. We are studying "Battlefield of the Mind" by Joyce Meyers. It's all about learning how to manage your emotions and putting negative thoughts aside and speak the word into your life.
Last week we studied Romans 12:1-2. This is our theme verse! "Therefore, I urge you, brothers in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.
My co-leader Jocelyn did a study on Romans 12 earlier last year. The book she studied gave five areas that women struggled with. Competence, Belongingness, Security, Appearance, and Worthiness! aw, just reading those turns my stomach. It's so true that we struggle with at least 2 of these. Big ones for me are Competence and Worthiness.
Here is what they had to say how to pray competence into our lives:
Competence- I am a competent person, equipped by the Holy Spirit to carry out God's will in my daily life in a way that pleases Him, regardless of what stage of growth I may be in at the present, my real importance in life i
s connected with the way I am touching people's lives with the love of God and message of Christ. Phil 2:13; 4:13- For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Ephesians 2:10- For we are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.
I just pray for all you women out there that you can lay your struggles at Jesus feet and speak HIS word into your life! Jesus conquered our sin and these issues. We need to trust in his word and BELIEVE IT!!!!

New Years Resolution
I've never really been one to make new years resolutions. Probably because I wouldn't keep it:)
But for the month of January Marcus and I are on a no sweet , no carb diet! Ok, a few days in, and I'm craving everything BUT what we can eat. My goal for 2012 is also to make it to the gym 3x a week!
So recap from the last week:
Christmas was Great! Spent it with my family back on the farm. Came back to the cities for Marcus to do a few Shows. Campus Crusade for Christ had a conference and inviited him to perform for the HIgh School Students! It was a great show! On New Years Eve, he had two shows: One on the south side of the cities and one on the North side! Both great shows and great response from the youth there.
Funny story- SO we were on our way home about two o' clock in the morning, when we decided to grab something to eat. 1st mistake- cause we ran out of gas about a few blocks from gas station. 2nd mistake- trying to push the van to the gas station. We gave up b/c just too difficult and we were FREEZING!!! We shared a pair of gloves and thankfully we survived without getting mad at each other:) So by the time we got gas we made it home at 4:00 A.M.! Us old birds were up late huh?
New Years day the Gramm Family had our family christmas. THe theme was Ugly Sweater and the little six year old won the contest! what's up with that! ha, jk!! The girls had a purse exchange and the guys did a tie exchange. SO much fun! We played the game Minute to WIN it! Great game:)

How Great is HIS Faithfulness!!
The above photo was taken last night at my parents house. The sunset was breathtaking!
It was so fitting to see this beautiful sight on Christmas Day! This sight shows the glory of our Father and his gentle hand upon our lives. He loves beautiful things doesn't he?
This verse really hit me. I love how the word speaks about his faithfulness.
2The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; 23they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” 25The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. —
L
amentations 3:22-25
I have learned so much to remain hopeful in this Christian walk even when life doesn't make sense. Have you lost hope and long for a new understanding of God’s faithfulness in your life? Tell Him that in prayer
,
even as you wait patiently for Him to move. And then realize that He loves you just as much and has promised to show His faithfulness and mercy to you just the same. How fitting on Christmas Day for God to show his glory and creation.

November Recap!!!
Thanksgiving we treked down south to Marcus home;- Lacombe Lousiana! We spent five days there and it was such a relaxing time. Amazing food.... oh how I need to learn how to cook:) On the way back we drove straight thru to make it to the Gramm thanksgiving. 20 hrs- yeah, i know, ambitious huh? We had it all set up in the van. WHile one was driving the other one was sleeping in the back. We had taken the seats out so it was like we were camping! HA:)
This month of December has just flown. I can't believe it's almost Christmas! Beginning of the month I modeled for a friend. Her salon that she works for had a open house and had models to showcase their sevices. I got my hair cut, colored, facial, makeover, 30 minute massage, manicure. I know, ladies- spoiled right?
Last night we had our Christmas Program for work. The kids were crazy:) IT went good, lots of people came and it was fun to show my family what I do. So a week away from Christmas right? Crazy!! It just doesn't feel like Christmas! The Lord has blessed us with such amazing weather here in MN. I just wish you all a Merry Christmas and that we can remember why we celebrate Christmas and it's not about the presents. We need to share the present of Salvation with others and be thankful for the year of 2011. I just pray that I continue to go where he calls me and be the best wife I can be for Marcus. I pray that you have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!! Peace and Love......

Hello Blog World!!!!
Wow, I never thought I would have a blog or a start of one:) I''m going to try and document Marcus and My life. Ok, it's not that exciting but have to start somewhere right?
The Lord has been challenging me on my relationship with him. What's my love? I love my husband but Christ is my first love and I have failed to honor him with my time like I should. The Song from Casting Crown has really impacted me. It says: To know you is to never worry, never compromise and to tell the world about you. To know you is to KNOW YOU MORE! I can't live without HIM!!! I challenge you in the fact will you recognize you if he sees you? Will he open up the doors for you? Are we living out the calling he wants us to follow?
yes, i will post pics soon!!
Is. 26:8- Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you.
