Renew

Where your mind goes- your heart follows...  Doing this bible study, "Battlefield of the Mind" it's reprogramming your mind. It's been so good but so hard. It's all about Resetting your Mind. When those negative thoughts or self pity creeps it's way in, its time to get into the Word and speak Life into your body!
Think like God thinks
Say what God says otherwise
There is no hope of having victory in your life!

2 Corinthians  5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

YOU ARE NOT WHAT YOU FEEL BUT WHAT YOU BELIEVE!

Thank HIM

It's been two weeks since I last posted. Marcus just got back from being gone 1.5 weeks. So thankful he made it back safe and had a succesfull trip.

I'm learning how to overtake my mind and Let God heal me. It's my job to guard my heart with diligence. "Keep thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life.
It's our responsibility to guard our heart and if we have negative thoughts or feelings we need to cast them over to the Lord . Speaking scriptures over in my life have helped me overcome this. But this is a battle that we need to seek God help for daily!
The attitude we have in the wilderness determines how long we'll stay!
A big reminder for me is to STOP talking about my problems. It doesnt' help to complain or worry. The more we talk about our problems the longer we will focus on the negative. We need to Think Less and Thank More!!! And you also can't be pity and powerful at the same time.
The lord has planned for us a good and plentous life. We need to trust him with ALL and when things aren't going our way we thank him for what he HAS blessed us with.

ROMANS 12:1-2

I have started a women's bible study at my house. We are studying "Battlefield of the Mind" by Joyce Meyers. It's all about learning how to manage your emotions and putting negative thoughts aside and speak the word into your life.

Last week we studied Romans 12:1-2. This is our theme verse! "Therefore, I urge you, brothers in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.

My co-leader Jocelyn did a study on Romans 12 earlier last year. The book she studied gave five areas that women struggled with. Competence, Belongingness, Security, Appearance, and Worthiness! aw, just reading those turns my stomach. It's so true that we struggle with at least 2 of these. Big ones for me are Competence and Worthiness.
Here is what they had to say how to pray competence into our lives:

Competence- I am a competent person, equipped by the Holy Spirit to carry out God's will in my daily life in a way that pleases Him, regardless of what stage of growth I may be in at the present, my real importance in life i
s connected with the  way I am touching people's lives with the love of God and message of Christ. Phil 2:13; 4:13- For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Ephesians 2:10- For we are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.

I just pray for all you women out there that you can lay your struggles at Jesus feet and speak HIS word into your life! Jesus conquered our sin and these issues. We need to trust in his word and BELIEVE IT!!!!

New Years Resolution

I've never really been one to make new years resolutions. Probably because I wouldn't keep it:)
But for the month of January Marcus and I are on a no sweet , no carb diet! Ok, a few days in, and I'm craving everything BUT what we can eat. My goal for 2012 is also to make it to the gym 3x a week!

So recap from the last week:
Christmas was Great! Spent it with my family back on the farm. Came back to the cities for Marcus to do a few Shows. Campus Crusade for Christ had a conference and inviited him to perform for the HIgh School Students! It was a great show! On New Years Eve, he had two shows: One on the south side of the cities and one on the North side! Both great shows and great response from the youth there.

Funny story- SO we were on our way home about two o' clock in the morning, when we decided to grab something to eat. 1st mistake- cause we ran out of gas about a few blocks from gas station. 2nd mistake- trying to push the van to the gas station. We gave up b/c just too difficult and we were FREEZING!!! We shared a pair of gloves and thankfully we survived without getting mad at each other:) So by the time we got gas we made it home at 4:00 A.M.! Us old birds were up late huh?

New Years day the Gramm Family had our family christmas. THe theme was Ugly Sweater and the little six year old won the contest! what's up with that! ha, jk!! The girls had a purse exchange and the guys did a tie exchange. SO much fun! We played the game Minute to WIN it! Great game:)
